Project: Write copy for 3 differently themed emails to engage & convert student subscribers (reachable audience of ~12 million), incorporating real student quotes
My role: Copywriter
Results: Each email had an open rate of 40% — surpassing the previous half's open rate by 10% (H1 22 average was 30%) and the tech industry benchmark of 31%
Writing copy for emails was my favorite type of project during my internship. I found it challenging and rewarding to work with the brand voice and stakeholder requests to create concise messaging. I also gained more insight into the relationship between designers and copywriters, as I collaborated with a designer to write copy that best fits into the email design and vice versa.
